Stories Told From Parked Cars is a collection of writing by me and some friends.

These are stories that happen with the engine off—while killing time, avoiding something, making a call you don’t want to make, or just sitting there pretending you’ll go inside any second now.

Parked cars are great for thinking. Also for not thinking. They’re confession booths, offices, waiting rooms, and sometimes the safest place to be for five more minutes.

Some of these pieces are true. Some are remembered wrong. A few probably shouldn’t have been written down, but here we are.

Mostly, it’s about noticing things while nothing appears to be happening.
